API responses - Beem API

The Multicountry SMS HTTP API returns standard HTTP status codes. For successful HTTP requests, the response body carries additional status information — including failures that still return HTTP 200.

HTTP status codes

HTTP status	Typical cause
`200`	Request received — check response body for platform status
`400`	Bad request — missing authorization or malformed request
`401`	Authentication failed

Platform status in HTTP 200 body

When HTTP status is 200, the body may still indicate failure: Plain text failure (message ID -1):
