Receiving payments — get started

Register

Register on the Beem platform at login.beem.africa, then verify your email address and phone number to activate your account.

Request a number

Navigate to the BPAY menu and select Request a Number. Fill in your requirements.The Beem team will share commercial details and a contract, request KYC documents, and configure a valid billpay number for specific mobile networks.

Configure a collection product

  1. Log in to login.beem.africa
  2. Navigate to BPAY → Products → Collections and select Add New
  3. Configure a product for your collection use case

Set reference patterns

Differentiate multiple products using reference number patterns:
  • BMSMS+* — matches all reference numbers with the prefix BMSMS+
  • * — routes all reference numbers to this product

Get API credentials

API Key and Secret are available from BPAY → API Setup. Authenticate outbound requests using Basic Auth or an access token — see Authentication.
Store your API Secret safely — it is only displayed once when generated.
