Before integrating Bpay Checkout, complete account registration and route configuration.

Register

Register at login.beem.africa, then verify your email address and phone number to activate your account.

Request a number

Navigate to BPAY and select Request a Number. Fill in your requirements.The Beem team will share commercial details, request KYC documents, and configure a valid billpay number for supported mobile networks.

Configure checkout routes

  1. Log in to login.beem.africa
  2. Navigate to BPAY → Routes → Checkout
  3. View active routes for the checkout process
For each route you can configure:
  • Pattern match — must end with * (e.g. SAMPLE*)
  • Callback URL — where Beem sends payment status
  • Redirect URL — where customers are sent after payment

Get API credentials

API Key and Secret are available from BPAY → API Setup. You can authenticate outbound API requests using Basic Auth or an access token — see Authentication.Admin/Support will set the route. Contact Beem if you need a new route configured.

Reference number patterns

Reference numbers must match the pattern configured on your checkout route. Example: SAMPLE-12345 matches a route pattern of SAMPLE*. Prefix patterns are set when creating collections and checkout products in the BPAY dashboard.
