Understanding address books

Address Books are collections of contacts used to organize recipients. Every Beem account automatically includes a Default Address Book. A single contact can belong to multiple Address Books, allowing you to categorize recipients without creating duplicate contacts.

Every account includes a default address book that is created automatically.

Multiple Groups

A contact can belong to more than one address book at the same time.

Flexible Organization

Create separate address books for customers, employees, subscribers, or any other audience.

Managing contacts typically follows this workflow:

1. Create an Address Book

Create an address book to organize contacts for a specific audience or purpose.Examples include:
  • Customers
  • Employees
  • Marketing Subscribers
  • Event Attendees

2. View Address Books

Retrieve all address books associated with your account.You can also:
  • Search by name
  • Filter by creation date
  • Paginate large result sets

3. Update an Address Book

Modify the name or description of an existing address book whenever your organizational needs change.

4. Delete an Address Book

Delete address books that are no longer required.
The Default Address Book cannot be deleted.
